Ardee Community Development Company Ltd (ACDC), one of the most successful and innovative community initiatives in the country, marked 25 years in business with a celebratory gala event at Ardee Business Park.

Joining staff at the business park, tenants, former tenants, press and local dignitaries at today’s 25-year anniversary celebration, was Mairead McGuinness European Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union, who planted a tree and dedicated a plaque to commemorate the company’s founding father, Colman O’Flynn.

“Ardee Community Development Company is marking 25 years and I’m delighted to mark this milestone,” Commissioner McGuinness said. “Over the past 25 years, ACDC has grown – supporting business development, investment and jobs in Ardee. Thanks to the success of Ardee Community Development Company,, the town of Ardee is a vibrant hub for local companies and new ventures. Ardee woman named Health Care Worker of the Year

Last Friday, Anne McMahon from Ardee was awarded Healthcare Worker of the Year at the Bluebird Care annual awards ceremony held at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin.

Anne completed her modules for the QQI Health Care Support Worker Course with us here at Ardee Business Park in conjunction with Iona College, Kells.

A total of 32 finalists who were selected from a multitude of nominations were recognised on the day for the incredible work they do, supporting and looking after the most vulnerable people in their communities.
